Got a spare grand-and-half?

Gwern Branwen · 02 Dec 2008, 00:04 · from 2008-December.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I don't know if this was mentioned last year, but I just across this:

http://millipedepress.com/centipede-press/the-shadow-of-the-torturer-gene-wolfe

"The Shadow of the Torturer"
"$1500.00

Leather - Printed on mouldmade Saunders Waterford. Bound in full
goatskin leather with the color illustrations and a map enclosed in a
cloth traycase with an extra set of unbound prints. Limited to 14
copies for sale.
...
It features 7 full page, full color illustrations by German artist
Alexander Preuss."

I would like to read a copy, if only to look at the illustrations -
the library scene looks nice.
