A new mystery ...

Son of Witz · 03 Dec 2008, 06:41 · from 2008-December.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

wait a minute.

are we conflating the Severian Apu Punchau & The Sleeper God of Ushas
with the Not Necessarily Severian Conciliator.
I've thought that since he is the Conciliator Come Again that he was
the Conciliator of the myth. but maybe it existed before Severian I

Severian I (clawless) gained the phoenix throne, but did he become
the New Sun? or is all of this Heirodules just trying to renurture him
so that he has the character to pass the Trial.
I guess I'd assumed that they saw him become the New Sun, but now I'm
wondering if they just saw the potential.
