This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

That's the biggest flaw I see with Donny as Chase's shooter. He has to 
appear in rehearsals for "Dating the Volcano God" very soon after the 
attack, and a big face wound would would be obvious. But he is an actor 
and would have access to advanced makeup technology. It's doubtful that 
his red pimples show in his stage roles, for example. You might have a 
pimply killer Seurat, but a pimply dancer in a musical would be strange.

The fact that Cassie doesn't recognize Donny as the assassin by face or 
voice is more easily explained. The assassin may have been transformed 
by the Squid God -- maybe this was necessary for finally healing the axe 
wound, and removing the pimples was a side-effect. The assassin was 
probably good at voices, since she critiqued Cassie's vocal control.
