This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Dunno, here in the Hayfork Valley people are heavily armed, and reasonably
polite. Even the hippies are heavily armed and measurably less noxious
than hippies tend to be.

What there is, here, is strikingly little serious crime. We had a murder
two years ago: some tweaker beat his wife to death with a shotgun, so I
guess it was a gun-related murder. The last one before that was thirty
years ago.
