The Politics Of Gene Wolfe

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

You can find a well-sourced report on the Swiss' gun-keeping habits here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Switzerland

In short, there are about 420,000 state-owned weapons at home, 320,000
pistols and rifles retired from military service with automatic fire
disabled, and a minimum of hundreds of thousands of other semi-auto
firearms in a nation 7.7 million.
