This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Woah. I didn't say I wanted to pass laws.
I only said I was conflicted about the issue, and that my younger pre- 
programmed bias for gun control has slowly eroded.
I don't know what the proper thing to do is, which is probably why I'm  
not in politics, or involved with the issue at all, other than an  
occasional discussion that helps me sort this stuff out.

how old did you think I was? do I come off like some whippersnapper?
