This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Yeah, it's true.

Apparently it has something to do with my neurological architecture: I
have Asberger's syndrome or some other form of high functioning autism. It
gets in the way sometimes, sometimes I think it is sort of cool.

I am also plenty arrogant, make no mistake, and often have to remind
myself that I know almost nothing and am frequently wrong.

What I don't do is call people names, threaten people, or posture hostile
emotions at them - or if I do I acknowledge in advance that I am wrong to
do so, and if you point out a specific instance when I have done so I will
apologize. That's what I mean by maintaining a civil discourse, basically.

Socrates and Henry Mencken are among my literary heros. What can I say?

But enough about me.
