This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Apropos of the question of the necessity of wings on a heraldic
representation of anything "volant," I find this quote in Soldier of
the Mist (62): "[H]er oars, with the foam on them, made her look like
a bird with four white wings."  Someone else here suggested that banks
of oars might suggest wings (and that the many masts on the Tzadkiel
might suggest both banks of oars and wings).  This quote lends support
to that idea.
