This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I'll second the Harrison recommendation.  He's an excellent stylist, in or
out of genre.  _Light_ and _Nova Swing_ are well worth a look.

A heartier second here.  Bolano is the most interesting "new" writer to come
along in years, says I.  I'd say it'd be great to set up an urth-list kind
of discussion group for him, but his books are strangely resistant to
analysis, I find.
