This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. It just seems to me that Horn gives a very 'alien' description of the Island
that is made out of floating plants then he gives for any other Island.  It
seems clear he would, after that point, be able to notice the difference.

In any event, it is an interesting subject!

Has any else read Life of Pi?  I'm always struck by how that book also has
an Island made up of floating plants....
