This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

You can say that again. Do you think Wolfe meant ALL of this when he wrote
TBoNS, I think not.
Your evidence is very thin and seems to consist of wild speculations and
intuitive leaps. I don't think Wolfe wrote TBoNS so that we would spend all
our time looking for family relationships (most of which are not there) but
to grasp the meaning behind the story. I think we are in danger of missing
then wood for the trees by following some lines of argument posted here.

I'm sorry if this sounds negative but I just had to say it.
