This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Perhaps, since they reflect Severian's ideas of the person, it's a circular
proof--because Severian feels that Malrubius would certify him as autarch, =
that
seals his autarch-hood--after all, the autarch is the "self-ruler".  Perhaps
only someone who's used the phallus and gained the memories can conceive of=
 an
aquastor (especially a mentor such as Mal.) as viewing him as the proper
autarch?
