Bax is a fictional character.

I believe in lots of supernatural stuff and Wolfe does too.

I don't ask you to use my reading of the book.

I don't think that there are canonical readings to Wolfe's later books.

I have no idea what to think about your feeling that I am playing a
different game than you are, and wonder if you might not expand upon this
intriguing remark?
