Travelling North aka miscellaneous thoughts on Wolfe

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

That's my other concern with the "Urth preceeds Earth" theory: it seems 
like an awful lot of hand-wringing is done over the fate of Urth when 
it's a simple matter to stroll in the Gardens and see how things turned 
out.

Personally, I think Wolfe borrowed from the "All Our Yesterdays" episode 
of Star Trek where the Sarpeidons escape the end of their world by 
emigrating to historical eras. It doesn't hurt that Mr Atoz, the time 
librarian, was played by Ian ("eon"?) Wolfe.
