This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. The Gaiman fact is pretty well-established--there's a character in
_Sandman_ who is clearly Chesterton. (Gilbert, who features prominently in
the second story arc, "A Doll's House", with occasional other appearances
throughout the series, is physically and temperamentally very much modeled
on Chesterton.)

Or were you commenting on the delightful oddity of learning about Gaiman's
fondness for Chesterton on a Borges site?
