This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Alas!  A very beautiful hypothesis slain by an ugly fact.  Nigel really
had me feeling like I'd missed the blindingly obvious for a minute there.

Even so, the comparison is interesting.  I've heard more than one sermon
on the importance of understanding the last words of Jesus to mean "It is
consumated" rather than "It is the end." =20

Severian's sword is shattered, after all.  He must cease being one who
says "It is the end" to the condemned in order that he may one day say,
"It is consumated" to the whole world.
