Exultants

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Right, that does make sense. And if Severian were the exultant norm, 
that would be one thing---but he's not. Presumably he's half-exultant. 
I'm sure someone has worked all that out.

Would Severian's mother have had to give birth while she was in the 
hands of the torturers for him to have been kept and raised in the 
guild, since his father supposedly is alive?
