This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I did to. I even know exactly where I thought I'd seen it: It was in the 
book "We Came in Peace: The Story of  Man in Space". I had that volume 
as a child. But googling for the images from that book makes me think 
it's not there. And in the picture in my memory the astronaut is not 
actually _holding_ the flag.
