Fr Inire + Cumean + others (was: Re: Inire as a hierodule)

Craig Brewer · 17 Jul 2010, 15:23 · from 2010-July.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

A) You're over-reacting. I like irony. Consequently, I actually liked the post
and specifically said I wasn't criticizing the ideas put forward about the
Cumean. Yet somehow you accuse me of being an asshole.

B) I thought we were interpreting a novel. In that novel, aliens seem like a
much more likely explanation since they are much more prevalent in the novel
than the theory put forward. That doesn't make it impossible, of course. But it
does make it simpler, which I thought was the entire point of Occam's Razor.

That's all. I'm done. I'm sure Josh will find offense in something I've posted
and respond by trying to ask me simple questions about "facts" or "definitions"
as he sees them. I'll let him have the last word.

Awesome because you were being an asshole, and wanted to show how any
reasonable person thinks that aliens are more likely than religion.

This is the World.

In the World, Hindu/Buddhist cosmology and four dimensional perception
undoubtedly exist.

Do you doubt that these things exist?
