Rudesind/Inire/Lunar Picture

John Watkins · 27 Jul 2010, 16:49 · from 2010-July.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Well, at least you're honest. You'd rather accept that multiple characters
with no proven weird abilities are eternal than give up a theory.

Good Lord, you're literal.

"Hey Rudesind, next time a young man like me comes by while you're on the
ladder, please send him to Ultan like you did for me."

means

"Ignore the young man if he's not like me, or if you're not on the
ladder--we're both time-travellers and I'm setting up an infinite loop"

rather than

"Thank you. I appreciated it. The thanks I ask is that you keep doing what
you did."
