Juturna, the Missing Sister

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

That works just fine. I dunno about Cyriaca being the mother of Agia and
Agilus but I have no strong feelings about it either way.

My issue is that in reverse, hair of any color can fit into the Severian
family tree. And so we see Borski saying that Baldanders' overgrown child
(and possible catamite), who has gold hair, is Severian's biological child.
Because he has gold hair! And gold represents the sun!

But if he had dark hair, he'd look like Severian, and so also could be
argued to be Severian's kid.

And if he had pale blonde hair, he'd look like Dorcas.

And with "chestnut" hair, he might be related to Agia and Agilus--maybe even
be their incest-spawn--and therefore Severian.

Red hair would be proof of an Inire connection, as you note.

At some point, every detail becomes a prop for one wild theory or another,
and the loop closes.
