This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. There has been some rather lively discussion, originating with Robert Borski
(Solar Labyrinth) and elaborated in here, that Father Inire, called monkey-
like in his first description, may be a shapeshifter who appears as the 
cynocephalus (a.k.a. baboon), a uakari and perhaps some other monkeys too.
Just to keep tabs on Severian.

There has been discussion of some other monkey-like characters and their 
possible relationship to the elusive Father Inire. Some do not like the
idea.
