This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I can appreciate the never-say-die attitude, but I think that part surely _must_ be settled. As Ryan pointed out in an earlier post, Malrubius says he is not sure but thinks the Hieros were close enough to the race of humanity to be called that. If there can be any question about that, then surely they are not Briahlings. Perhaps it can be argued that Wolfe reconsidered this question in UotNS. It might be argued (unsatisfactorily for me) that he retconned this question. But if there is genuine mapping between BookotNS and UrthotNS then the Hieros were not from Briah. u+16b9
