This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for.  Prometheus is the other classic "wound in side"
 reference; he can be seen as a prefiguration of
 Christ, in that he sacrifices himself for the
 benfit of mankind.

 Prometheus is non-human (he is a Titan), and the
 benfit is physical and ambigious, rather than
 spiritual and unmixed, so there are differences.
 Not having read the story at issue, I can't guess
 which makes more sense.
