This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I think that is the right subtext, but in-character it makes sense for 
"Typhon" to be an adopted name that is kept by virtu and itself becomes 
a source of more virtu as the owner ascends in a way that a common name 
like the equivalent of "Bob" just can't.

The milder "Baldanders" suits, as it dissociates him from his former 
life and dissuades Commonwealthers newly met from being too friendly. 
His size alone is more than enough virtu to sell the name as 
appropriate, and he has the witty and charming Dr Talos for anything 
that requires congenial relations, and the play company "legitmizes" the 
creature appellations as stage names.
