This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Folk lore says it was a fig tree. The english "Judas tree" may be a
misconstruction of the latin/romance for "Judea's tree".

Oh, the boots thing is just one portuguese expression for 'a place far
away nobody wants to have to go to from here'.

I don't get Incanto's mistrust of Jahlee at that specific point, but
the relevant part is the use of the name 'Judas' in the Whorl's
universe. Conjoined 'Judastree' may be evidence that he knew not what
the components meant, but the idea of treason seems to be is there.
Either way, if it wasn't there by Horn's time, it was there at some
earlier point.
