This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is

One question and one observation: Q. When Cassie was watching the news, to get across the idea that the world of this novel was kind of fallen, the reporter interviewed a young man on the street who wore a golden phallus about his neck. Why did Wolfe choose to give the Autarch a cameo appearance? O: Izanami was one of the two most important gods in the Japanese pantheon; she married Izanagi and they had several children.
