Who's right?

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I agree that there's more to Agia than mees the eye. There are a
couple of definite indicators of this: her use of the symbol of the
Jurupari (if that's what it was);  Agilus' ribbons.

But I think there's a more general issue here, turning on what we're
prepared to believe. There are clearly a number of people keeping an
eye on Severian and bringing about some of the weird events that take
place in his life; Inire and the Autarch; Agia (later, after her
brother's death, when she has a clear motive); the undines. But these
people, from what we know of them, don't explain all the strange
coincidences and turns of events that happen. Do we suppose there must
be a deeper (human or alien) conspiracy? Or do we.....

Bilbo was _meant_ to find the Ring; and not by its maker.
