This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I'm a little baffled. I agree with your insight that Wolfe not only
writes backward from a vision of the ending, as he has said, but he
fills in the details of a vision overall. This is important. It means he
works more through multifarious allusions than through exhaustive
puzzle-making.

But what does it have to do with the topic, or my questions? Are you
acknowledging that there is no Devil in BOTNS?

I agree with the as-above-so-below concept. I agree with the hammer and
anvil part. I don't see a Devil, per se, and I don't think you can
conjure one.
