Dionysus, the mausoleum

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I think all of of us are disappointed that the text seems to present very different mausoleums.
It isn't argued against based on aesthetics. Aesthetically, I think everyone wants it to be, but it seems like Wolfe chose differently for whatever reason.
I'm quite okay with it being a completely different mausoleum, assuming it is. I see no obvious reason why Scylla should be connected to Severian. She died (in her first form) at least a millenium before his birth.
