This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

In Chapter XXIII, I believe it is plain that Alpheta's face is there
because she's standing on just the other side of the portal through
which Sev and Gunnie have just plunged; why it lingers on for as long as
it does, perhaps she is supervising his safe return to The Ship, and it
is not a given, even though Tzadkiel has seen him return?

In Chapter XLVIII, that is a toughie. It is not just a fleeting glimpse
like one might expect of an absent but expected or remembered person,
but seems to linger for a time...possibly another portal opened to watch
over him?
