This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Maybe. Valeria shares some of the physical descriptions. If not, the violet eye color and 
Gene Wolfe's age make a pretty good case for Elizabeth Taylor.

I sometimes wonder how much Gene Wolfe's family reads his work. I'm pretty sure he has 
included individual and family problems of rather personal nature in his stories. If 
they do read his work they just have to understand the needs of an artist, I guess.

The family problems of many other artists are much less disguised and more widely and luridly
known.
