Threadtiquette

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

FWIW, my 02/100 worth is that readability/comprehensibility is the most important issue.
I consider everyone here authors, of a sort, and thus artists. I'd prefer a bit of artistic
license be granted promoting the free-flow of ideas over the enforcment of standard forms
which might, at times, hinder that free-flow.

(either way, I praise whatver higher powers that be that I no longer have to plow through 40
copied paragraphs of responses to get to the actual words of the post author, which used to
be true here.)
