Are TBOTNS and UOTNS Christian Texts?

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

For most of the series, I assumed that the "Conciliator" was a set of
poorly-remembered stories of Jesus (I forget how I fit Typhon's statements
into that interpretation), so I was surprised in URTH to find that the
Conciliator was Severian, and was someone far in Jesus's future, if there
even as a Jesus in Severian's world.

When I read the passage quoted above, I interpreted it, as Ori does, to be
Wolfe's coy way of refering to Jesus.  If Jesus had existed in Severian's
universe, I'd expect Tzad to say something like, "there was another sort
of Concilator earlier in your world's history, although we didn't call him
that."=20

Or are you suggesting that Tzad isn't referring to Jesus at all, but
rather yet another "conciliator" figure in a different universe who is
neither a version of Severian nor Jesus?
