This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. A point that may be overlooked is that Typhon wasn't expecting to end  
his career as soon as he did. Posing as Pas was a way to ensure  
allegiance of the new colony while not being there - but he did intend  
to make use of such allegiance some chiliads down the road, and that's  
where a lookalike ruling the colony might come in handy.
