This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Sev uses the White Fountain power before he knows he's using it, so 
awareness is not required. His connection seems to be established by the 
light shining on him from the sky, so perhaps the fountain emits a 
special frequency chosen by the Yesodis to resonate with something in 
Severian's body as determined from Sev's genetic material; a thin line 
of color Severian in its emission spectrum.

Then, some Yesodi plot also needs furthering and some Hierarch has it 
seen to that the green men's algae also respond to this particular 
frequency of light. Imagine a race of pacifists who never need to kill 
to eat, not directly or even to clear land or or protect crops, born to 
rejoice in the light and die as needed by the grim doers of the 
necessary. Might they ascend to the stations of the Hieros all the sooner?

    To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose in 
Yesod....
