This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

So Sidero has a trim waistline for a suit of animated armour; I'm

Severian inside, that Sev starts pushing his arms and legs into

If you regard these as human-sized proportions, I hope I never spill
your beer.

(As for Sev taking off his knife and gun belt to get in: bear in mind
that the blade of this knife alone is about two spans (18") long. Stick
a handle on that, and add one of those hunting-knife sheaths with a
separate pocket, and a gun, and holster, and you can see his point.)
