This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Well, absolutely. It is his formula. Many would say his shortcoming, as most don't want to work so hard just to comprehend the basic plot. I wouldn't have liked it when I was younger.
It's a way to keep audiences involved. I think most of us who got sucked into the tv shows LOST or BSG kept coming back because we wanted to solve the mystery more than for any other reason. Once they gave a crappy "answer" most of us lost interest immediately.
