Sev's family tree

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

It's good to be reminded of that. >Son of Witz: The only advice I've given Lee Berman is to not get so upset when people knock >down your idea. Don't worry I am not upset. There was just a misunderstanding. I've know that some people are here to knock down the ideas of others, but my first assumption is always that people are here to better understand the ideas of others. As soon as the intentions are clear I can tailor my responses accordingly. >It seems like you just want to argue. I appologized and have said many times >that I value your contributions. No, I don't want to argue but I have points I like to make, the same as anyone else who posts. I value your contributions also and have no interest in dragging things out further. My apologies for incorrectly attributing intentions on your part. That was my fault. I think some conflict is inevitable when people are working at cross-purposes. For example, if someone is seeking to create visual illustrations of BotNS I can understand their desire to focus on "what is written". My own emphasis is more on the non-visual, mental landscapes which are created by Gene Wolfe and to complete the pictures he has left incomplete. The most interesting part for me is to figure out the of what is not actually , but is implied or alluded to.
