Inhumi in the Whorl

James Wynn · 09 Feb 2011, 19:46 · from 2011-February.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Yes, what do Neighbors and sentient inhumi look like during soul travel?
Honestly, I think the Neighbors that the resurrected HORN encountered
were in astral form. There's a spectral feel to that meeting. But, since
Wolfe has toyed with every possible metamorphosis of the human soul in
these 7 volumes, I'm surprised Wolfe didn't toy with what would happen
if a wild inhumi fed on a dream-traveler.
