This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Friends,

With such wonderful activity, there is no need for an off-topic message to=20
have some signs of life, but perhaps it may be excused.

I am presently about 50 pages into BLACK WINE, by Candas Jane Dorsey. I=20
picked it up after reading on the back that the style is similar to Gene=20
Wolfe, and I so liked the make of the book (an imprinted cover and the page=
s=20
are scented) that I bought it. Has anyone on the list read this? And are=20
there any Internet resources for discussing its mysteries? Also, are there=20
actual Wolfe similarities beyond the writing style?

Thanks,

Christopher R. Culver
