This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. True, and I suppose this was a dawning realisation as there probably isn't
an easy way to find out how much time the average relativistic space
traveller has been away simply by looking around, particularly as the
Autarchs have been trying to keep society in stasis until the New Sun comes
ever since the time of Ymar (as Palaemon remarks to Severian at the
beginning of his journey).
