This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Please, remind, James, where it is said that Rose's prosthetic hands are not flesh? In the "Book of the New Sun" Severian has a friend Jonas, who is a chem (at Urth at this time they are not called so), but Jonas has one hand and some other parths taken from a bio - he explains it himself to Severian. So the combination is possible. I don't remember where it was said, maybe it is your own deduction that they (Rose's hands) are not flesh, only "realistically veined", because they could be "grafted" to Marble? Best regards Sergei Soloviev > Ahhh ... that makes sense. I did not know Rose was actually in Marble's > hands, or that her hands were not flesh.
