This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

First, I don't think the 'seventeen megatherians' were anything to do with Erebus, Abaia etc. The number doesn't particularly match, but more important than that, we have a book called "The Lives of the Seventeen Megatherians" which has a somewhat historical feel to it, as if the story of the megatherians (whoever they were) is long over, which is not the case of the powers currently in the sea. Apart from that I agree with the above. Their intention is to rule Urth. If they survive they may well regroup and try to rule Ushas, but certainly the impression is given that they will be somewhat out of the picture, perhaps indeed destroyed by the events coincident with the advewnt of the White Fountain. - Gerry Quinn
