This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Well, lots of people have thought, for reasons quite independent of
Ymar, that something has changed at some point between _New Sun_ (the
original quartet) and _Short Sun_ - and of course there was never a
detailed chronology; it may not be so much a matter of positively
changing as of making definite things that were previously indefinite.

I think they are the same, because Severian says to Reechy/Ymar 'rule
justly, or at least as justly as ciicumstances permit'.
