Typhon's nature

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Yeah, but Mao didn't live under the ocean and across the planet! Even he 
had cadres of minions. Just as a telepathic Typhon would not abandon 
radio and other electromechanical technology (see the Mule), the Beasts 
would not abandon basic tools of manipulation.

It seems to me your scheme of frightening humans into submission would 
only work for coastal peoples. There seems to be no pattern of coastal 
tribes invading inland, but rather of periscii and ascii, as you say. 
There must be something more, in addition to ideology and self-interest. 
Cthulhu only ever used dreams, but then he was not awake.
