This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Hey, it's not MY religion. Obviously there's a fine line that tends to
be drawn around "proper" (and legal) and all other practices. Since only
the Autarch practices this one, you could go either way: is it a
legitimate part of a "cult of the Emperor"? or something to keep hidden
from view? or both?

Any way you slice it, it's not normal! (cue Church Lady). And worse, it
resembles (as has been said many times) pagan slanders of Church
practices. Parody or perversion, take your pick.
