This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I don?t think the Dionysus references indicate anything more than his stature as a pagan god on ancient Urth (and Earth).  Gods evolve as theology evolves.  Dionysus was real (and so are Pas and the others), but the True God, of whom the Outsider is an aspect, is realer.  That?s how I read Wolfe?s extra-textual observations on these matters.
