This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

How have I not consciously noticed that before about the short story
collections?  You're absolutely right, James, and it's heartening.  I now
see that I had subconsciously registered this all along, but I think my
conscious disgust and ire at the series and novel covers was choking out all
distinction in my mind, heh.  As weirdly plain and bright as that 'Gollancz
50' cover is for Shadow and Claw, I think it might actually be better than
most of the others (*definitely* better than the Fantasy Masterworks version
[shudder].)
