This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Yes, I know. That's whay I'm saying that wherever happened to Horn in the
pit can't explain the change of tone in the narrative, because the narrative
was written long afterwards, and no special thing happened to the narrator
while he was taelling that part of it. First I thought you meant that he was
writing about the pit at the same time he was lost in the forest, but that
isn't the case - he was still in Gaon. Unless you're saying it wasn't at the 
pit that the tone changed. I don't know, I find it hard to decide just when 
the(?) change happens.
